It is another minus for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria as the party loses Ondo State deputy governor, Chief Agboola Ajayi to the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The perennial crisis between the governor Chief Rotimi Akeredolu and his Deputy, Chief Agboola Ajayi finally put to rest on Sunday, when the number two man in the ‘Sun Shine’ State finally throws the political towel to the APC.
TopSearch reliably gathered that on Sunday, Ajayi resigned his membership from the APC and informed journalists that he would not resign as the deputy governor no matter how his boss intimidates him.
Ajayi has registered as a PDP member at Kirobo, Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo. According to a two paragraph letter addressed to both the ward and the Ese-Odo Local Government APC Chairman, It reads ” l write to tender my resignation as a member of the All Progressive Congress”.
” l sincerely appreciate the party for the opportunity to serve while wishing the party the best. ” l am here to officially announce to you that as from today I have seized to be a member of APC , I want to tender my resignation letter to my ward and the Local Government chairman of the party”. Ajayi concluded.
