Tambuwal Saves N1.6billion from 1,370 Ghost Workers in Seven Months

The Sokoto State government between October, 2019 through may 2020 has saved over N1.647,657,430.86 billion from detected ghost workers and child workers whose names have been flushed out of the system.

The Committee on Harmonised Soko State Staff List submitted its report to the governor on Thursday in Government House, Sokoto.  Receiving the report, Governor Tambuwal acknowledged the good job of the committee for saving that much for the state within the time frame.

The governor in his address directed that the same exercise should be carried on simultaneously in the local governments. Tambuwal lamented of lack of accurate database of civil servants in the state when he assumed office in 2015.
