Ottasolo Football Club from Ogun have qualified to play in the Nigeria National League (NNL) after beating Seat of God FC of Kaduna 2-0.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match played on Friday was the Ilorin zonal final in the 2020/2021 Nationwide League One (NLO) Division One Competition.
NAN reports that Ottasolo FC had won the Kwara Stadium Complex centre while Seat of God FC won the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) pitch centre to set the stage for Friday’s promotion playoff.
Tomola Megba called the Seat of God goalkeeper into action in the fifth minute when he drew a spectacular save from long range in the match played at the Kwara Stadium Complex.
The trio of Samuel Ogunjimi, Dominic Abah and Tomisin Adefuye made life difficult for their opponents as they dictated and dominated the game from the middle.
Samuel Ogunjimi in the 27th minute put the Ottasolo in the lead with a spectacular volley.
Seat of God restarted the game better and had an opportunity to even the scores in the 50th minute of play from a corner kick.
But Ogunjimi did brilliantly well to clear away a glancing header from Esson Musa.
Ottasolo would have doubled the lead in the 58th minute when Idris Momoh drew a free-kick in a dangerous area.
Hassan Hassan laid a perfect pass before substitute Steven Ikenna whose close range drive was deflected out of play.
Substitute Ridwan Adeshina doubled Ottasolo’s advantage in the 68th minute with a clever tap-in off a perfect cross by an impressive Hassan.
This was following a brilliant counter-attack orchestrated by the duo of Dominic Abah and John Peter.
In the 83rd minute, Ottasolo goalkeeper, Korede Shodipe made a clever save to keep out a glancing effort from Philip Asemota.(NAN)
