The Kwara South Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard (BATS-Vanguard) held the median Kwara South Senatorial District meeting on Thursday at the residence of the Kwara South Senatorial Chairman of the group, Otunba Taiwo Joseph, popularly called OTJ.
The meeting was well attended by the representatives of the seven local governments in the Kwara South: Ifelodun, Irepodun, Isin, Ekiti, Oke-ero, Offa and Oyun Local Governments. Among the personalities at the meeting included the BATS-Vanguard Kwara State Interim Management Committee Chairman, Dr. Babatunde Salami, the State Woman Leader, Mrs. Florence Funmilayo Oki, a one time Ekiti Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dele Abiodun, a former Vice Chairman, Oke-ero Local Government, Odofin Taiwo among other dignitaries.
According to Otunba Joseph, the meeting was to revalidate the membership in the senatorial district and inform them the development and progress recorded by the group in the state and national levels. OTJ also informed the Local Chapters to fill the vacant positions in each of the Local Government.
In his address, Dr. Salami informed the members of the State BATS-Vanguard secretariat just acquired by the Interim Management Committee, courtesy of the Senatorial Chairman. Similarly, the Interim State Chairman reported the success recorded in the familiarization visits to leaders in the Kwara North and South Senatorial districts. According to him, he declared that the group is known and have been blessed by His Excellency, Governor Abdulrhaman Abdulrazaq as well as the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB).
At the meeting, representatives of Local Governments appreciated the meeting and pledged their supports and loyalty to the group and the principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Alhaji Saka Alada, who is a member of the State Interim Management Committee was also at the meeting. Alhaji Alada appreciated the attendance and said that efforts of all members will never go unrewarded.
