The Chairman, Interim Management Committee of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard in Kwara State, Dr. Babatunde Salami has said that the BATS Vanguard in the State has woken from a long time slumber to become a role model and pacesetter for other states to emulate under the Interim Management Committee. The Chairman, Dr. Babatunde, said this in a release made available to journalists after a meeting of the Committee held on Thursday at Ilorin, Kwara State.
“The purpose of this Committee is to put things right and lay a good foundation for the substantive State Executive Committee, the Chairman said in the release”. In the statement, Dr. Salami said Asiwaju’s project is not a bedroom project in which people will be playing politics of hatred, favoritism and exclusion, rather, it must be politics of open minded persons and be inclusive.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of BATS Vanguard, Dr. Dare Owotomobi has given the state chapter a mandate to contact all major APC stakeholders in Kwara State to ensure that the Asiwaju political gospel would be taken to the threshold of all big names in Kwara State APC, Dr. Salami said.
Other Interim Management Committee members includes: Otunba Taiwo Joseph, Barrister Aladie, Mrs. Funmilayo Adesewa Oki, Rev. Abel Adewumi, Samuel Jimoh (JP), Alh. Saka Alada, Yusuf Q. Sakariyyau and Dr. Hammed Oba Yusuf as Secretary.
“The Committee would go beyond the mandate of restructuring but would stabilize the group in Kwara State with a good legacy to emulate by other states, Salami affirmed.
