Governor Obaseki Faces Expulsion from APC

Year 2020 may remain odd year in political history of Governor Godwin Obaseki, if is unable to triumph over the political travails against him in the All Progressives Congress, APC.

You will recall Obaseki was disqualified by the Screening Committee of the APC on Friday not to take part in the coming party primary.  Similarly, the Appeal Committee also upholds the decision of the Screening Committee, limiting his tenure in office to a term, if not elected under another party.

The last is not yet heard about his political flaw in the ruling party, as the last straw is on the way to show him and his two other confidants an exit route from the party.

Speaking at a Press Conference on Saturday in Benin, the factional Chairman (anti Obaseki) David Imuse told the press men that ” it became necessary for the State Working Committee to recommend the expulsion of the governor, Mr. Anslem Ojezua, the factional chairman loyal to Governor Obaseki and one Dr. Aisosa Amadasun  to the National Working Committee due to their alleged anti-party activities”. According to Imuse, he said both Obaseki and his factional Chairman, have violated article 21, sub-section D5 of the APC Constitution due to the several courts cases against the party.

It is reliably gathered that the State Working Committee of the APC in Edo State has recommended to the National Working Committee that Godwin Obaseki, Dr. Aisosa Amadasun  and Anselm Ojezua should be expelled from the party for contravening the party’s constitution as above mentioned.
