FG Reduces Lockdown on Inter-State, Domestic Flights, Schools

The Federal Government on Monday announced lifting of ban on domestic flight, Inter-state movement and resumption of schools in selected classes from July 1st,

This was contained in the Press briefing by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19, Boss Mustapha.

At the briefing, the National Co-oridnator of PTF, Dr. Sani Aliyu added that only fifty percent of the passengers are allowed in a bus during travels. Furthermore, the passengers must wear face mask.  In his briefing, Dr. Aliyu reaffirmed the curfew remains between 10pm and 4.00am across the nation.

For secondary schools, only those in the final year classes such as ,  JSS3, SS3 and primary six pupils are to resume while others are to remain at home for now .

About domestic flights, he said “arrangements had been completed with aviation services to resume domestic flights as soon as practicable”.
