EFCC Declares 1,000 SUBEB Ghost Workers in Kwara State

The Kwara State Zonal Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Isyaku Sharu said the anti-graft agency has discovered 1,000 ghost workers in the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

Briefing the pressmen on Thursday on the achievements of the Commission in the last 16 months in Ilorin, the chairman confirmed that a Permanent Secretary and a Director have been arrested in connection with the alleged offence.

According to Sharu “The ghost workers were allegedly smuggled into the payroll of Kwara State SUBEB.
